<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise luminous efficiency in an excimer lamp. <P>SOLUTION: In an excimer lamp which emits light by dielectric barrier discharge, an inner electrode 40 is arranged inside a luminous tube 20 of the excimer lamp 10, and an outer electrode 30 of network structure is arranged outside the luminous tube 20. The cross-sectional shape of the outer electrode 30 is formed in the elliptical shape so that the outer electrode 30 contacts the luminous tube 20 at contact parts S1, S2, and insulation spaces (non-discharge areas) 60A, 60B are formed between the luminous tube 20 and the outer electrode 30. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
