<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wet friction plate which enables a reduction in drag torque. <P>SOLUTION: The friction plate 10 has two or more oil grooves 13 extending in the radial direction from the inner periphery to the outer periphery and provided at intervals in the circumferential direction, on a ring-shaped friction surface 10a opposing a separator plate 20. An oil-repellent part 15 is provided which consists of a segment part 14, which is a part between neighboring oil grooves 13 on the friction surface 10a and to which an oil-repellent treatment is applied.
