PURPOSE: A device for generating a 3D panoramic image and a method thereof are provided to generate left/right 3D images for the 3D panoramic image by using one camera. CONSTITUTION: A frame slit capture unit(110) captures a first frame slit in an N-th video frame. The frame slit capture unit captures a second frame slit in N+2-th video frame. The frame slit capture unit captures a third frame slit in N+1-th video frame. The frame slit capture unit captures a fourth frame slit in N+3-th video frame. A 3D image generation unit(120) generates a left image by using the first frame slit and the second frame slit. The 3D image generation unit generates a right image by using the third frame slit and the fourth frame slit.
