<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating composition having few planar defects during formation of a coating while maintaining surface transferability, and favorable adhesion between layers, and a method for manufacturing the coating composition. <P>SOLUTION: In a method for manufacturing polymer-modified inorganic particles, a dispersion containing at least the following raw materials (a) to (e) is reacted at a reaction temperature meeting both of the following conditions 1 and 2, such that the residual rate of the raw material (b) is 20% or less, and the residual rate of the raw material (c) is 50% or less. The raw material (a) is inorganic particles to be modified; the raw material (b) is a silicone compound expressed by formula (I): X-R<SP POS="POST">1</SP>-SiR<SP POS="POST">2</SP><SB POS="POST">n</SB>(OR<SP POS="POST">3</SP>)<SB POS="POST">3-n</SB>; the raw material (c) is a fluorine compound containing at least one fluoro-compound containing group and a reactive double-bond; the raw material (d) is a hydrolysis catalyst; and the raw material (e) is an initiator of radical polymerization. Condition 1 is that the amount of time in which the residual rate of the raw material (b) becomes 50% is 10 to 80 minutes; and condition 2 is that the amount of time in which the reactive rate of the raw material (c) reaches 50% is 15 to 60 minutes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
