<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-strength nonwoven fabric that includes almost no film-like substance, has a high breaking length, and includes melting liquid crystal-forming wholly aromatic polyester. <P>SOLUTION: The nonwoven fabric includes melting liquid crystal-forming wholly aromatic polyester having a melt viscosity of 20 Pa s or less at 310°C as a main component, is formed from substantially continuous filaments having an average fiber diameter of 0.5 μm or more and 15 μm or less, and satisfies the following (1) and (2): (1) the number of film-like substances having a size of 0.02 mm<SP POS="POST">2</SP>or more and existing in the nonwoven fabric is less than 2/1 mm<SP POS="POST">2</SP>; and (2) the breaking length in a longitudinal direction is 10 km or more and the breaking length in a width direction is 6 km or more. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
