<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless tag orientation detection system capable of searching for a communication channel having less noise without adding an antenna for noise detection. <P>SOLUTION: A wireless tag 200 classifies data to be transmitted into trigger data and data for orientation detection. A wireless tag reader 100 waits for data reception with a communication antenna 140, and transmits channel specification data when receiving the trigger data. When receiving the channel specification data, the wireless tag 200 transmits the data for orientation detection. While waiting for data reception with the communication antenna 140, the wireless tag reader 100 measures a noise intensity at each candidate channel of an orientation detection channel by using an orientation detection antenna 150, and performs orientation detection channel determination processing to determine an orientation detection channel. Then, the orientation detection channel determined by the orientation detection channel determination processing is specified by channel specification data, and the orientation detection data is transmitted/received by using the specified orientation detection channel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
