PURPOSE: A multiple antennas based system and a method for intrusion detection are provided to reduce false alarm by the interference component of a received signal. CONSTITUTION: A multiple antennas based system comprises a correlation part(151), an interference determining part(155) and an intrusion determining part. The correlation part calculates a self-correlation matrix about a received signal sensed from a multiple receiving antennae. The interference determining part determines the presence of the interference component from the self-correlation matrix in the received signal. The intrusion determining part determines the occurrence of the interference component.
