PURPOSE: A cutting wheel and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to extend the life time of the cutting wheel by preventing a cutting tip from dropping out. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a cutting wheel comprises: a step of manufacturing a cutting tip by sintering a first composite of metal powder and diamond powder(S10); a step of attaching the cutting tip to the edge of a steel circular plate by welding(S20); and a step of forming a wear-resistance coating layer by spraying a second composite of the metal powder and ultra-hard powder on the boundary surface of the steel circular plate(S30).
