<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for blocking a tap hole, which prevents a tap hole inside a furnace from being scraped when molten iron flows out. <P>SOLUTION: The method for blocking a tap hole is provided, by which a tap hole W2 formed on a furnace wall W1 of a blast furnace W is blocked. The method includes: a mud material injection step of injecting a mud material 100 into the tap hole; a plug pushing step of pushing a substantially bar-shaped blocking plug 110 into the tap hole after the mud material injection step; and a baking step of baking the mud material, wherein the mud material protrudes inside the furnace D2 from the tap hole after the plug pushing step. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
