<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid state image pickup device and an information terminal device capable of promoting high integration. <P>SOLUTION: The solid state image pickup device includes: an image pickup substrate 10 which contains a plurality of pixels arranged in two dimensions each including a first surface and a second surface on the side opposite to the first surface in which a photoelectric conversion elements that convert incident light to an electric charge for accumulation are formed, with its upper surface 11 formed by the first surfaces of the plurality of pixels, and its rear surface 12 formed by the second surfaces of the plurality of pixels; and a light shielding member 13 provided on the upper surface 11 side of the image pickup substrate 10. The plurality of pixels, in the case where radiation is made from above the light shielding member 13, are discriminated as pixels that have been shielded or as the pixels that have not been shielded by the light shielding member 13. The electric charges accumulated by the photoelectric conversion elements of the pixels that have not been shielded are converted to digital signals by an AD conversion circuit formed on the second surfaces of the shielded pixels. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
