<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power tool capable of effectively preventing deterioration of a battery pack caused by temperature rise even when the battery pack having a high rated voltage is used. <P>SOLUTION: The power tool includes: the battery pack 1 containing a battery cell; and a power tool body 3 receiving power supply from the battery pack 1 to drive a drive unit 4. The power tool body 3 includes a control unit 5 controlling the drive unit 4. The battery pack 1 includes: a rated voltage holding unit 12 at which information on the rated voltage of the battery pack 1 is held; a rated voltage information output unit 13 outputting the information on the rated voltage held at the rated voltage holding unit 12 to the control unit 5; a battery temperature detection unit 14 detecting the temperature of the battery cell 11; and a detected temperature output unit 15 outputting a temperature value detected by the battery temperature detection unit 14 to the control unit 5. The control unit 5 limits the output of the drive unit 4 when the temperature value of the battery cell 11 exceeds a temperature threshold value stipulated in accordance with the rated voltage. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
