PURPOSE: A portable terminal and a control method thereof are provided to display conversation contents by arranging the conversation contents according to the time order. CONSTITUTION: A wireless communication unit(110) transmits a message including conversation contents to one or more terminals and receives the message from the terminals. The terminals belong to a conversation group. A touch screen displays the conversation content on a screen. A control unit(180) individually divides the display area of the conversation content in the screen.
