1,113,220. Photo-conductive targets. TOKYO SHIBAURA ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. 13 Dec., 1965 [15 Dec., 1964; 31 May, 1965; 11 June, 1965], No. 52819/65. Heading H1K. A photoconductive target comprises a transparent conductive film formed on a transparent substrate, a plurality of lead oxide layers having a plurality of interfaces between the layers, the interfaces increasing the dark resistance in the direction of the thickness of the layers. In an embodiment a glass plate 22 having conductive SnO 23 thereon is coated by vacuum deposition with PbO 61 in an oxygen containing atmosphere, layer 62 of PbO is deposited in an atmosphere of greater O 2 , content, layer 63 of PbO is provided and an electron bombardment proof layer 64 of SiO, CaF 2 , NgF 2 , SiO 2 , AS 2 S 3 , Sb 2 S 3 or Sb oxysulphide is added. In another embodiment, the first and third layers may contain an oxide or sulphide of monovalent Cu, Ag or Tl or trivalent Sb, As, Bi or In. The PbO layer is preferably excessively oxidized after deposition.
|
