Provided is a portable terminal allowing for limited axial rotation of an antenna being pulled out from a housing, and for reduced size in the width direction and reduced size in the thickness direction of the housing. The portable terminal (10) is provided with the antenna (16) that can be accommodated within a tunnel part (14) of the housing (11). The antenna comprises: a base-end component (25) and a front-end component (26) both allowed to protrude out of or retract into the tunnel part, a hinge shaft (27) connecting the base-end component to the front-end component on the diametrical direction, a bracket (31) connecting to the tunnel part a jack (32A) running through the base-end component and throught the front-end component, a first flange part (35) having a shape other than a perfect circle and arranged in the base-end component, a flange bearing part (36) fitting the first flange part and arranged on the tunnel part side in the jack, and a second flange part (38) corresponding to the sectional-shape of the tunnel part and arranged in the base-end component.
