<p>This liquid crystal display panel (100A) is provided with a liquid crystal layer (30A) containing liquid crystal molecules (32), a first substrate (10A) and a second substrate (20A) arranged facing each and sandwiching the liquid crystal layer (30A), a first orientation film (16a) formed on the first substrate (10A) on the side of the liquid crystal layer (30A), and a second orientation film (26a) formed on the second substrate (20A) on the side of the liquid crystal layer (30A). In the pixels, the liquid crystal layer (30A) has a low pretilt region (R1a) and a high pretilt region (R2a) in which the magnitude of the pretilt angle of the liquid crystal molecules (32) is different, and, of the first orientation film (16a) and the second orientation film (26a), at least one orientation film (16a) has a low pretilt orientation region (16a1) contacting the low pretilt region (R1a) and a high pretilt orientation region (16a2) contacting the high pretilt region (R2a).</p> |
