<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a membrane electrode assembly for polymer electrolyte fuel cell including a hydrocarbon based polymer electrolyte membrane, and an electrode layer bonded thereto in which dimensional variation and wrinkling of the polymer electrolyte membrane are minimized during manufacture while ensuring excellent bonding state of the polymer electrolyte membrane and the electrode layer, and to provide a membrane electrode assembly exhibiting high power generation characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The surface of an electrode layer is coated with a solution containing a binder resin having proton conductivity, an electrolyte membrane is bonded to the surface of the electrode layer coated with the solution before the solution dries up completely, or the surface of a transfer substrate is coated with a solution containing a binder resin having proton conductivity thus forming a coating film. The coating film is transferred to the surface of the electrode layer before the membrane dries up completely, and then the electrolyte membrane is bonded to the surface of the electrode layer to which the coating film is transferred, before the membrane dries up completely. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
