<p>A light-emission device (1), comprising: a substrate (110); a plurality of LED (120) arranged in a row upon the substrate (110); pairs of electrode pads (141a, 142a) formed upon the substrate (110) and disposed to both the front and rear of each LED (120) in the row direction; a Zener diode (protective element) (160) in each circuit (group) (U1, U2, ..., U8) comprising the nine LEDs (120) connected in the row direction and the pairs of electrode pads (141a, 142a) corresponding to each of the nine LEDs (120), said Zener diodes (160) being arranged between two electrode pads (141a, 142a) positioned between any two adjacent LEDs (120) in the circuits (U1, U2, ..., U8); and a seal member (130) disposed upon the substrate (110) so as to seal the LEDs (120), the electrode pads (141a, 142a), and the Zener diodes (160). In each circuit (U1, U2, ..., U8), the intervals between the electrode pads in the pairs of electrode pads (141a, 142a) are such that the interval between the electrode pads in the pair of electrode pads (141a, 142a) disposed at a position closest to the Zener diode (160) is the shortest, and the intervals between the electrode pads in the pairs of electrode pads (141a, 142a) at the two locations other than the position closest to the Zener diode (160) differ.</p> |
