<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To implement inexpensive power control capable of keeping a power factor intact despite the use of a capacitor input type rectification circuit. <P>SOLUTION: A power control method is directed to supplying AC power from an AC power supply 35 to a secondary load 37 through rectification in a regulator 10, and supplying AC power from the AC power supply 35 to a heater group 38 via first and second heater switching sections 31a, 31b. The power control method selects the first and second heaters 38a, 38b and turns on the first and second heater switching sections 31a, 31b such that a resultant current of currents flowing to the first and second heaters 38a, 38b and a rectification input current Ii1 in a charge current period for which an input charge current resulting from a charge current to a first smoothing capacitor 12 flows in each half cycle of AC power, and currents flowing to the first and second heaters 38a, 38b in a non-charge-current period represent substantially sinusoidal waveforms. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
