PURPOSE: A refrigerator using an endothermic reaction of ice and salt is provided to reduce costs for storing food by excluding the utilization of electricity and to store food fresh in backwoods with no electricity facilities. CONSTITUTION: A refrigerator using an endothermic reaction of ice and salt arranges one or two IS boxes in compartments of the refrigerator, puts the ice and the salt into the same, and stores food easily changed by heat by using the endothermic reaction that the ice melts and the salt is dissolved in the water of the molten ice. A ratio of the ice and the salt, which are put into the IS boxes, is within a range of 10:3-5:5. The ratio of the ice and the salt is adjusted depending on a capacity of the refrigerator and necessary temperature.
