PURPOSE: A reduced lithium-thionyl chloride battery is provided to have a low self-discharging rate and long life time, to have wide use temperature range and wide discharging capacity, and to have the size of 1/3N. CONSTITUTION: A reduced lithium-thionyl chloride battery(100) uses metal lithium as a negative electrode(3), carbon powder as a positive electrode(4), and thionyl chloride as a positive electrode active material and electrolyte. The diameter, height, and size of the lithium battery are 11.6mm, 11mm, and 1/3N, respectively. The negative electrode uses 0.06-0.08g of metal lithium. The positive electrode includes carbon powder and the weight of the positive electrode is 0.06-0.1g. The molarity of the electrolyte and the weight of the electrolyte are 1.0-1.3M and 0.7-1.5g, respectively.
