<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a difference in the speed and amount of a small droplet in the following printing cycle after large or medium droplets are discharged. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus can selectively discharge the large, medium and small droplets having different sizes from a recording head. A driving waveform Pv has three or more driving pulses P1-P5 including the driving pulse P5 which is last arranged after the driving waveform for discharging the large droplet. If an individual liquid reservoir is defined as a natural vibration period Tc, the driving waveform Pv outputs the driving pulse P2 discharging the small droplets in the range of 2Tc-4Tc from the start of output of the driving waveform Pv. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
