A haircut assistance device includes a shield portion configured to extend circumferentially between a first edge and a second edge along a face portion of a head and extend longitudinally between a top portion and a bottom portion along the face portion of the head. The shield portion defines a set of grooves, the set of grooves including a set of horizontal grooves extending between the first edge of the shield portion and the second edge of the shield portion, a first set of arcuate grooves extending between the top portion and the first edge of the shield portion, and a second set of arcuate grooves extending between the top portion and the second edge of the shield portion. The haircut assistance device includes a support device carried by the shield portion, the support device configured to secure the shield portion to the head.
