<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of reducing amount of developer adhering to a transfer member during performing a borderless printing. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming device 10 includes: an intermediate transfer belt 14; an image forming unit 30; a secondary transfer roll 50; a pair of positioning rolls 25 that conveys a sheet of recording paper P to the secondary transfer roll 50; a recording paper sensor 51; and a main control unit 18. The main control unit 18 controls, after the recording paper sensor 51 detecting a position of the recording paper P, to move the recording paper P backward once and to convey the recording paper P to the recording paper sensor 51 again at a speed lower that an ordinary speed. With this, the resolution of a detection signal by the recording paper sensor 51 is increased, and a detection error of the front end position of the recording paper P is reduced. Thus, an excess front image area previously set before performing the borderless printing can be reduced resulting in a reduction of tonner adhering to the secondary transfer roll 50. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
