<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire that exhibits excellent high-speed turning performance and can be easily mounted on a rim. <P>SOLUTION: A pneumatic tire 2 includes a tread 4 having a tread surface 22 formed on its outer surface, a pair of side walls 6 extending from the end of the tread 4 toward substantially radially inside, a pair of beads 8 each located substantially radially inside the side walls 6, and a reinforcing member 20 located axially inside the beads 8. The bead 8 includes a core 26, and an apex 28 extending from the core 26 toward the radially outside. The reinforcing member 20 is located between the core 26 and a bead toe P.
