<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gable roof building having a good-looking sloped ceiling having little noise at the vicinity of the top of the sloped ceiling even in the case of having the sloped ceiling along the underside of a roof. <P>SOLUTION: A roof panel 30 has a degree of fixation on the side of a ridge frame 2A lower than the degree of fixation on the side of a beam frame 2B, so that the shear force acting on the junction of the roof panel 30 and the ridge frame 2A is smaller than that at the junction on the beam frame 2B when a horizontal force in the beam direction is applied to a gable roof building 1. The side of the beam frame 2B (fixed to a roof structure plane 3 at a high degree of fixation) bears the support and the load transmission of the roof structure plane 3, so that a simplified structure is achieved on the side of the ridge frame 2A.
