<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can replace heads of a recording head with a plurality of heads that are separately detachable from an apparatus body and can suppress the discharge of liquid in the heads other than a replaced head when filling liquids into the heads. <P>SOLUTION: A printer with the recording head 1 includes: a head discharging pipe 26 connected to a flow-out part of a fifth head 11e that is positioned most downstream of the plurality of heads 11 connected in series; a downstream side bypass feeding pipe 25b including a bypass downstream side coupling 53 connectable to a flow-out part of one head 11 that is arbitrarily selected from the plurality of heads 11; and a three-way valve 51 for switching the communication or blocking of the head discharging pipe 26 with respect to a waste ink storage container as not shown in the figure and also switching the communication or blocking of the downstream side bypass feeding pipe 25b with respect to a discharged liquid storage part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
