<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor in which a protecting layer covering a detection part at a distal end of a sensor element can be prevented from being peeled off by thermal shock or the like. <P>SOLUTION: A sensor 1 comprises: a plate-like sensor element 10 which extends in an axial direction and includes a detection part 10a at the distal end thereof; a hold member 21 which encloses an outer peripheral surface of the sensor element and includes an insertion hole 21a through the sensor element; and a tubular main metal fitting 2, in which a lock part 9 locking the hold member is formed, internally accommodating the sensor element and the hold member. At least confronted two surfaces of the detection part are covered with an inorganic fiber sheet 51, a rear end side 51e of the inorganic fiber sheet is inserted between the hold member and the sensor element and further, a protecting layer 40 is included which covers the detection part over the inorganic fiber sheet. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
