<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens drive device capable of relatively easily achieving both an improvement in dimensional accuracy of a regulation surface for regulating the amount of movement of a movable body toward a subject side and an improvement in flatness of a mounting surface on which an inspection jig is mounted. <P>SOLUTION: The lens device 1 includes: a movable body 2 holding a lens and movable in the optical axis direction of the lens; a fixed body 3 holding the movable body 2 movably in the optical axis direction; and a drive mechanism driving the movable body 2 in the optical axis direction. In the end face at the subject side of the movable body 2, regulation surfaces 8f, which are in contact with the fixed body 3, for regulating the amount of movement of the movable body 2 relative to the fixed body 3 toward the subject side and mounting surfaces 8e on which an inspection jig to be attached to the movable body 2 is mounted are formed so as to be substantially orthogonal to the optical axis direction.
