<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device that reduces an adverse effect of engagement between one pinion gear and rack bar on engagement between the other pinion gear and rack bar. <P>SOLUTION: In the dual pinion type electric power steering device, a protrusion part 33 is provided on the opposite side in the peripheral direction of a second rack tooth R2 on the other axial end side of a rack bar 30 as an assist side, a pair of recesses 34 and 34 are formed on both sides in the peripheral direction of the protrusion part 33, and the interior angle θ of supported surfaces 34a and 34a supporting the rack bar 30 in the recessed parts 34 and 34 is set to be larger than 90° and smaller than 180°. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
