[Problem] To provide a piezoelectric vibration device that can be made thin and that is capable of generating strong vibration, as well as a portable terminal using the same. [Solution] The present invention is a piezoelectric vibration device, as well as a portable terminal using the same, wherein the device has at least: a supporting body (11); a diaphragm (12) attached, so as to be capable of vibration, to the supporting body (11); a vibrating element (14) capable of being vibrated flexurally; and a deformable first connection member (13) interposed between a first surface, which is a bending surface of the vibrating element (14), and one main surface of the diaphragm (12) so as to connect the first surface of the vibrating element (14) and the one main surface of the diaphragm (12). Accordingly, it is possible to achieve a piezoelectric vibration device that can be made thin and that is capable of generating strong vibration, as well as a portable terminal using the same.
