<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accelerate image search processing by using hardware, such as a GPU, with high performance for executing tasks of the same kind in large quantities. <P>SOLUTION: An image search device 1 includes a shared memory and a plurality of paralleled processors for executing the same instruction. The image search device 1 transmits a plurality of representative feature vectors for representing, respectively, a plurality of clusters including a plurality of image feature vectors from storage means, stores one or more query feature vectors extracted from an image to be a query in the shared memory, calculates the distances between the plurality of transmitted representative feature vectors and the query feature vector by using the plurality of paralleled processors, and selects one of the plurality of images on the basis of the distance between the query feature vector and an image feature vector that belongs to the cluster selected according to the calculation result by first distance calculation means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
