摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of a board wall, particularly a board wall for use in a traditional wooden framework, which is improved in damping performance. SOLUTION: According to the structure of the board wall, horizontally long band-shaped wall boards 2 are arranged between right and left columns of a wooden building and stacked on each other in multiple stages, and dowels are fitted to horizontal joints in the respective stages, that are formed between the wall boards. All or part of the dowels are formed of vibration control dowels 5 that are excellent in damping performance compared with wooden dowels 4. Preferably the vibration control dowel 5 is a unitary combination of a main body member made of wood and a damping member made of a damping material. Specifically both the main body members and the damping member are formed into a plate, and the main body members are fixed to both surfaces of the damping member, or alternatively the main body member is formed into a column having a central hole into which the rod-like damping member is fitted. Preferably the vibration control dowels 5 are uniformly dispersed in the entire body of the earthquake resisting board wall, or alternatively they are concentratively arranged at the horizontal joint in a predetermined stage and the wooden dowels 4 are arranged at the horizontal joints in the other stages.
