A method for determining object property in which at least one object, in a first image captured by the camera, is determined, and the brightness of the captured image is then ascertained. After a predetermined time-interval, a further image is captured by the camera (16,18) and the object in each of the further images is ascertained, and in each case the brightness of the given object of each image is ascertained, and an object property is conferred on the object depending on the brightness characteristic.
