A nuclear heat direct conversion arrangement, of the type described in the parent Specification 1,065,978, has the anodes of the elements connected to the adjacent cathodes through high electrical resistance couplings. Each coupling is formed of a bellows structure which incorporates a long length of conducting material, and therefore a high electrical resistance.
