摘要 PURPOSE: Superconductor cable cooling apparatus is provided to cool down a part of a superconductor cable without increasing the temperature of an entire system even when the system operation needs to be stopped because of cooling system maintenance. CONSTITUTION: A fixed component(110) is formed on the inner wall of a pipe in which liquid nitrogen is flowing, and suppresses the rotation of a plate(130) combined with a ring-shaped component(120), and the number of the fixed components is identical to the number of the plate. The ring-shaped component is fixed to the outer circumferential surface of a superconductor cable and combined with multiple plates. The multiple plates are combined with the ring-shaped component and rotate in the axial direction of the superconductor cable. The rotation of the multiple plates is suppressed by the contact of the multiple plates with the fixed component, and due to this, the flow of liquid nitrogen is blocked. In order to allow liquid nitrogen to flow again in the section where the flow of liquid nitrogen is blocked by the multiple plates, liquid nitrogen needs to be allowed to flow in the original direction to make the multiple plates pressed to the superconductor cable.
