<p>The purpose of the present invention is to provide a chemically strengthened glass that uses soda lime glass and still has excellent cuttability and greater residual compressive stress than in the past. The chemically strengthened glass of the present invention is chemically strengthened glass that is produced by subjecting the surface layer of a glass product to ion exchange whereby the alkali metal ions A, which have the highest content in the glass, are exchanged for alkali metal ions B having a larger ionic radius than the alkali metal ions A. The glass before ion exchange is soda lime glass comprising, by mass%, substantially SiO2: 65 to 75%, Na2O + K2O: 5 to 20%, CaO: 2 to 15%, MgO: 0 to 10%, and Al2O3: 0 to 5%. The surface compressive stress after ion exchange is 600 to 900 MPa and the depth of the compressive stress layer formed on the glass surface is 5 to 20 µm.</p> |
