<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear light source device that can prevent occurrence of unnecessary loss in an electric circuit when a high luminance LED is driven by a low voltage and large current. <P>SOLUTION: A power feeding pattern circuit board 8 has its rear side face of the face having an LED 2 mounted on, which is attached to a heat sink 10 so that the heat generated by the LED 2 can flow to the heat sink 10 through the power feeding pattern circuit board 8.
