<p>[Problem] To provide a waste heat utilization apparatus which improves the performance of an internal combustion engine while being low cost and highly durable. [Solution] This waste heat utilization apparatus is provided with a Rankine cycle (3a) that is used in a drive system (1a), a bypass path (29), a flow-regulating valve (31), a pressure sensor (35) and a control device (11a). The drive system (1a) comprises an engine (5) and a turbo charger (7) that supplies pressurized air to the engine (5). The Rankine cycle (3a) comprises an electric pump (P1), a pressurized air boiler (19), an expander (21), a condenser (23), and pipes (24 to 28). The control device (11a) increases the discharge rate of the electric pump (P1), thereby increasing the discharge rate of a working fluid when a cooling requirement for pressurized air is determined to have exceeded a threshold value. In addition, the control device (11a) controls the flow-regulating valve (31) on the basis of a comparison between a set evaporating pressure and a detected pressure (alpha) detected by the pressure sensor (35), thereby regulating the flow of the working fluid that flows into the expander (21).</p> |
