<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a load to be imposed on a helper in a half-crouching position when lifting up or setting down a wheelchair user from/on a vehicle seat in order to move the wheelchair user from the vehicle seat to a wheel chair. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle seat apparatus 20 is configured to move between the inside 11 and the outside 12 of the vehicle cabin. The vehicle seat apparatus 20 includes a tilt mechanism 30 configured to increase the height of a part of a seat cushion 22 corresponding to the hip of a sitting occupant P, at a position outside 12 the vehicle cabin so that the occupant can be seated on the vehicle seat 21 or leave the seat. The tilt mechanism 30 is connected to an operation controller 55 to increase the height of the seat cushion 22 by use of the tilt mechanism 30 when the vehicle seat 21 moves to the outside 12 of the vehicle cabin. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
