<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate shock resulted from fuel recovery during pedal release and up-shift in the vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: When an accelerator pedal is released from a depressed state while driving with a lock-up clutched locked, the lock-up clutch is unlocked in parallel with an automatic-transmission up-shift. The engine rotation speed and the gear ratios before and after the automatic-transmission up-shift are used to predict the engine rotation speed immediately after the automatic-transmission up-shift. If it is predicted that fuel recovery will be carried out immediately after the up-shift, a fuel cut is prevented. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
