<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a foreign matter from adhering to an input receiving unit of a detection member, in a liquid container for detecting a remaining amount of liquid inside, using the detection member, such as a prism. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid container includes a liquid outlet, a contact portion, and a detection member having an input receiving unit. The liquid outlet and the input receiving unit of the detection member are provided at a position apart from each other on the same bottom surface, and the contact portion is provided in the opposite side to the side where the input receiving unit is provided. The liquid outlet and the contact portion are portions where foreign matters (liquid and swarf) can be generated. Accordingly, the input receiving unit is provided at a position apart from any one of the liquid outlet and the contact portion, and thereby the foreign matters can be prevented from adhering to the input receiving unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
