<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means capable of moving a body toward a base smoothly and continuously, and capable of locking and unlocking with little effort. <P>SOLUTION: The support member 1 includes a fixation part 14 for locking the position of the body B to the base S, a rotating support part for movably supporting the body B when the body B is unlocked by the fixation part 14, and a lever rotatably fixed around the axis. When a user applies force to change the vertical direction of the body B, the rotating support part is pressed down with the body B by the downward component of the force, and the fixation part 14 is also pressed down by the press-down force through the lever. On this occasion, the fixation part 14 is displaced with displacement amount greater than the rotating support part by utilizing the principle of lever.
