A method for loading a cache is disclosed. Data in a computer file is stored on a storage device. The computer file is associated with a computer program. The first step is to determine which logical memory blocks on the storage device correspond to the computer files (402). The next step is to take the data stored in the logical memory blocks and load it into a cache (404). The data is loaded into the cache before data from the file is requested by the computer programs. |
