PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder container capable of solving a problem in a reproduction process of a powder container equipped with an electronic component or an optical component, allowing easy and efficient reproduction.

SOLUTION: A powder container comprises: a housing 20 for housing a toner therein; an aperture 26 formed in the housing 20 for communicating the inside and the outside of the housing 20; a lid member 27 detachably attached to the housing 20 for opening and closing the aperture 26; and an electronic component 28 or an optical component configured to function through transmitting electrical or optical signals to an apparatus in which the powder container is installed. In the powder container, the electronic component 28 or the optical component is provided on the lid member 27.
