<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch pen that is mainly used for the operation of various electronic equipment and that is easy to use and can be reliably operated. <P>SOLUTION: Control means 14 formed in a case 11 drives notification means 16 according to the light/dark or color of light detected by optical detection means 13, so that the control means 14 drives the notification means 16 such as a motor and the operational state can be determined through vibration or the like.
