<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device which suppresses temperature variations on the surface of a fixing roller (heating roller) in the fixing device, and can prevent the occurrence of fixing failures of a toner image, and to provide an image forming apparatus using the same. <P>SOLUTION: In a fixing section 23 which includes a heating roller 1 provided with a heater 6 and a pressurizing roller 2, rotatably drives the heating roller 1 and the pressurizing roller 2 in a pressurized state, and passes a recording paper 3 having a toner image formed thereon through the rollers and thereby heats and fixes an unfixed toner image onto the recording paper 3, the fixing section includes a first temperature sensor 91 for detecting a surface temperature of the heating roller 1 in a position facing a heating region 61 of the heater 6, and a second temperature sensor 92 for detecting a surface temperature of the heating roller 1 in a position facing a non-heating region 62 of the heater 6, and includes a temperature control section 28 for controlling a heating state of the heater on the basis of the detected temperatures of the first temperature sensor 91 and the second temperature sensor 92. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
