<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a focus control device able to perform autofocus in an appropriate state by setting a focus mode for an imaging optical system, an endoscope device, and a focus control method. <P>SOLUTION: The focus control device comprises: a focus control part 330 configured to exert focus control for an imaging optical system including at least a zoom lens 240 for adjusting an optical magnification and to exert setting control for the focusing mode for the imaging optical system; and an image acquisition part configured to acquire an image via the imaging optical system. The focusing mode includes a fixed focus mode and an AF (Auto-Focus) mode. In accordance with whether the position of the zoom lens 240 is at the wide angle side or the telephoto side with respect to a reference point located between a wide angle end and a telephoto end, the focus control part 330 exerts control for switching between the fixed focus mode and the AF mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
