<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device capable of maintaining the operation of an engine even if a return spring of a first flap breaks. <P>SOLUTION: A valve with two flaps includes: a common control means 9 for the two valves; and driving means 12, 13, and 50 each of which is constructed to rotationally drive one of the two flaps from one to the other of open and closed positions of a passage with a temporary phase shift. In this way, in a first stage, the common control means turns a second flap while a first flap is kept in a waiting position under the action of a return means, and in a second stage, the control means continues to turn the second flap while starting to turn the first flap. The second driving means 12 and 50 can turn the first flap to its first position by the action of the common control means in the case of a failure of the return means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
