JOINT GEOMETRIC AND PHOTOMETRIC MULTIVIEW IMAGE REGISTRATION

A method for registering a multiview image (I, J) comprises performing a geometric registration between a first image (I) and a second image (J) of the multiview image (I, J) to obtain a current geometric registration function (un(x)). The method further comprises performing a photometric registration between the first image (I) and a geometrically registered version (J') of the second image (J) to obtain an update information ( Delta(∂E/∂p) ) for a current set (pn) of photometric parameters.
