The lamp has electrodes (6) arranged at two ends of a plasma space (8), and a light-emitting aperture i.e. slot (4), extended along longitudinal extension (3) of the plasma space. The light-emitting aperture has width, which is smaller than length of the light-emitting aperture in the longitudinal extension around a magnitude. A lamp body (1) comprises a sintered body (2) made of an electric insulating ceramic material i.e. quartz glass, with increased heat conducting coefficients. The light-emitting aperture is brought into the sintered body. The lamp body comprises an integral cooling body. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a high-pressure gas discharge lamp.
